Eh, I'm not so sure. I mean, why is it front page news that Britney Spears is pregnant? It happens all the time, right?
I agree that the "shocked" air that the coverage has is ludicrous. And I also agree that the glossing over of iraqi casulaties is shamelss. But, I'm not surprised that a high-profile member of the media gets more airtime than a random member of the military.
